This Privacy Policy explains how Brendan Boyd, doing business as ReRouted ("ReRouted", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ReRouted website, desktop optimizer, and proxy and routing services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we receive basic profile information from your authentication provider, such as your name, email address, profile image, and a unique provider identifier. We do not receive or store your provider password.
Device and application information. When you use the optimizer, we may collect a device or machine identifier, operating system and version, hardware and network interface details needed to apply optimizations, application version, and diagnostic logs. We use device identifiers to operate the application, enforce trial eligibility, and prevent abuse.
Network and usage information. When you use the proxy and routing services or the website, we may process your IP address, approximate location derived from your IP, connection metadata, the regions and routes you connect to, session timestamps, and usage and performance metrics. We do not sell the contents of your traffic, and we do not inspect or store the payloads of your game traffic for advertising purposes.
Transaction information. When you make a purchase, our payment processors (such as Stripe and PayPal) collect and process your payment details. We do not store full card numbers. We retain limited transaction records such as plan, status, customer and subscription identifiers, and billing history.
Support communications. If you contact support or use in-product support features, we collect the messages, attachments, and contact details you provide so we can assist you.
Cookies and similar technologies. The website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (such as keeping you signed in), preferences, and aggregate analytics. See "Cookies" below.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
- authenticate you and manage your account and sessions;
- apply and support optimizer profiles and route proxy traffic;
- process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent payment fraud;
- enforce free-trial and fair-use limits and detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- understand usage and improve performance, reliability, and features;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Services), our legitimate interests (to secure, operate, and improve the Services and prevent abuse), your consent (for non-essential cookies and optional features, which you may withdraw), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, including authentication providers, payment processors, hosting and infrastructure providers, and analytics and communications tools, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal and safety disclosures when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ReRouted, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will continue to protect your information and notify you of any change in control of your data.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies that are required for the site to function (for example, authentication and security). With your consent where required, we also use preference and analytics cookies to remember settings and understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and afterward only as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Diagnostic logs and abuse-prevention records are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted handling of sensitive identifiers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Users in the EEA/UK have rights under the GDPR, and users in California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, contact privacy@rerouted.gg. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for international transfers of personal data.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
